"The Barrel Patch" as it has been known. Basically an unfenced arena area. Bordered on two sides by trees, 3rd side leads to the yard & hay field while the 4th side is bordered by our road.
Looking towards the house & barnyard from the back corner of our property. All that grass is pasture (and riding space) In those trees is our home.
One of the corrals, where new best buddies Applejack & Rootbeer stay due to diet restrictions.
(ie fat and founder risk)
Excellent!!! Looks like you have lots of space to keep the four-legged critters all sorted out!

Awesome! I had a barrel patch for many years but I moved away after highschool and my Grandpa decided to seed it to grass. Now I have moved back and need to find a new patch of dirt to work up!
ReplyDeleteVery cool place - thanks for the tour!
ReplyDeletewow I'm jealous!!!! Looks like a dream!
ReplyDeleteYou deserve it! Looks like the kind of place that you don't have to put too much work into, and I bet the horses are loving it.Maybe not as much as you are loving having your horses in your own backyard!

ReplyDeleteI'm a little bit envious, but in a good way, 'cause I'm so thrilled for you!

Lisa, I just love your new place. I know you've waited a long time for this and will enjoy every moment of your new life with ponies in the yard!
ReplyDeleteWhaaa-Hooo....That is an awesome set-up!!
ReplyDeleteSoooo...If I ever hit the Pro-Rodeo trail and come to rodeos in Canada....you have room for an overnight guest right? LOL ;)
Of course, the chances of a big black horse disappearing into the depths of my trailer are great should that ever happen...Heeheehee!
I'm so happy for you Cdn! This place looks like an absolute dream come true. A forever home for all of you.

Absolutely awesome horse property! I am so happy for you! Personally I love fence-less arenas better can't quite put it into words but I do - and the trees like that are just how I like it!
