I love the sound of their feet! I looked to see why they were running down the street. Couldn't find a whole lot of info, but some seem to be smaller, so maybe they can't fly? One person suggested that they had molted their flight feathers - but I don't think they lose all of them at one time.
Anyway, it is interesting to see and to speculate!

Any kind of bird is just plain funny when they walk, but water fowl in particular make me laugh.
