P!$$ Off

If you're easily offended don't read this.  Oh.  Wait.  Maybe you should, its kinda meant for you.

Some people may have noticed that I haven't really been posting much lately.  That's because I was trying to decide whether or not to keep blogging.  No, I wasn't suffering "blogger burnout".  Rather I was receiving a few unpleasant messages and wondering if it was worth the bother.  Then I realized I was missing blogging and my blogger buddies.

Now normally I don't go out of my way to try to tick anyone off, in fact I'm pretty sure that I have never intentionally set out to do so here on this blog.  However it seems lately that some people are upset with me.  Over things ranging from a joke I posted, where I was blasted for being racist/culturally insensitive.  Hello! It was a JOKE.  Also I fail to see how it was that bad, I believe you are the only person that reacted with that much negativity.  And if your feelings were hurt I'm sorry.  For the record I will/do/have made fun of my own race and country.

Other things that seem to be upsetting people are my weight... yes I am fat and yes I ride.  Foxtrot off.
As for comments regarding the care of my horses, screw off I take darn good care of my critters.

In short if for any reason you are bothered by what you read here, no one is forcing you to read it!  So click off!!

PS - I thought I'd mention that to avoid hurting anyone's itty bitty feewings I abstained from quoting any lyrics from "Break Stuff"

  2. Some people just don't have a sense of humour! I find your jokes unoffensive and very funny.

PS: Anyone, even me all the way here in Australia can tell your animals are all well loved and cared for.

Listen, Trolls, you want to play? Pick on someone who DESERVES it. Heaven only knows in the blogosphere there are LOADS of people who DO deserve your critical sniping. But CDN? Oh Hell No.

CDN, girlfriend, we gotcher back. Big BIG loves to you woman!

  5. I would be pi$$ed if I got reactions like you imply. What gives? A blog is a place for a person to write; what they want, when they want. Others can choose whether to read it or not. There are no sanctions... well, maybe a few about real decency, but...
You are so in the right and I am so glad that you missed blogging and are going to continue!

  8. I agree with you, there are too many people out there actually LOOKING for things that offend them. They make it their full time job. Don't let them leave comments.

  9. Yep, thanks a lot. Now I've had to play Break Stuff and dance around the house like a maniac. It's all your fault :)
Still playing it.. lol ahhh, I feel like I'm 20 again. I caught this in concert and the mosh pit was INSANE. Great memories :)

  12. (((HUGS)))

I've been a whackadoodle magnet recently too. Just ignore them. You have the option to not approve and delete their comments. Really, they have nothing better to do with their time than tear at you because their own lives are so pathetic and meaningless that they have to make themselves feel better that way.

Just let it go and keep on keepin' on. We love you. We'd hate to see you go.

    (((MORE HUGS)))

  13. thanks for coming back to the blog, I do enjoy reading it and the joke was funny, I even had my hubby read it. a person is free to read a blog or pass, if you don't agree with this blog just blog off and don't come back to it.

  14. I've enjoyed all of your bloggings, please don't quit now! I'm just now catching up.

  15. Those people have no idea what they are talking about. Like the others before me have said, a blog is an opinion and if you don't like it, don't come back. Easy enough.

This is a great post, btw. Good for you for posting it...

  16. OMG-Did you end up with the 'mystery' PMer I had last year?

Remember the one who said I didn't do enough for Mighty Mouse and told me I needed riding lessons?

Let me guess, it's a person who just recently got into horses and thinks because they volunteer at a rescue, they know all about abuse and neglect?

(I'm just taking a stab in the dark here, but that is usually the type)

And pulling out the 'fat' card?

An obvious and calculated attempt to hurt your feelings. If that's what they have to resort to, they didn't have anything to start with in the first place.

It's easier to say 'Don't let it bother you' than it is to actually NOT let it bother you. But you would be seriously missed if you left Lisa. Don't let someone who has probably never left an actual comment on your blog make you stop blogging. They are not worth it!

  17. Sometimes I read a blog and don't like what I read- I usually don't go back. Glad you decided to stick with it.

  18. It's a relief to know that I'm not the only one who has had to deal with rude, bossy, insensitive, preachy, know-it-all people.

Ignore them. Eventually they do go away.

    hugs

  19. Can't please all the people all the time, as I have found.

You know what they say about people that can't take a joke...

  20. I sure did miss stuff going on while I was gone for the last week. So sorry you have this going on. I can't believe people can be so rude and inconsiderate, actually I can believe it, considering I worked retail management for 18 yrs. I know how rude people can be. I am SO SORRY that people are like that and said those things to you. YOU DO NOT DESERVE IT!
Rude people need to get a life, and realize there are more things going on in this world to be concerned with! I was already pissy when I started reading your post, now I am really pissy!

  21. Hang in there and keep posting!

Negative people are usually negative because they are insecure with themselves.

Love your blog and love hearing about your critters!

  22. I love your blog and your jokes. Some people just want to ruin things for everyone else. We have freedom of speech but some people have forgotten that.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well, I'm glad you decided to vent and not vanish, because it looks as if I'd be in good company missing you! Sorry to hear about the negativity, but love your response :)

  24. Keep blogging and bugger anyone who says different, its your blog and I enjoy it. Don't let the negative comments get ya down, just spam/block them from posting anything else..:-))
