Countdown to The Big Move

This time next week I will be outta here... mostly.
Truth is I'm sure there will be a few trips left to make with stuff from the city house to the country house. Matter of fact I may have to unpack some stuff just to bring boxes back to be able to pack more stuff. Yikes.
There is not one room in this house that I can say if officially packed. However there would have been at least a couple tonight if I hadn't run out of boxes lol.
LOADS of stuff left to do. Although we do have our new mailing address as of today! I got the box number at the "Post Office" and picked up the keys.
Yeah "Post Office". Unlike my home town where there was an actual separate building for the post office and you could go in and get access to your PO Box anytime you needed to our new little town has its post office in the local convenience store. And this town rolls up its sidewalks early - the store (and post office) close at 9pm!
Forgive me if I haven't been posting much. I have been keeping up on y'alls blogs for the most part even if I haven't been commenting. But soon there will be posts, and of course pics of the new place once we're settled in!
For now its crunch time. NO extra time off work so its pack, go to work, come home and pack. As well as make arrangement for utilities, pay bills, etc. Oh yeah and eat - I actually forgot to on Sunday! NOT good.
The Dave Manning clinic days 3 & 4 got rained out and are rescheduled for July. Which is good because it gave me more time to prep for moving and hopefully the horses will be in better shape!
Ooooh its shaping up to be a busy week. 9am Monday the "real" fun starts!

  1. Ain't moving fun? Did ya find stuff you forgot you even had?

I do every time I move...and I diligently pack it all back up and move it with me-LOL

I swear this time though, we are going to have a huge garage sale.

I also told the man that we were going to move the things in that we really, really wanted and when the house was fully funished, that was it...NO MORE. Yea right...we'll see how that works out.

Congrats again on finding the perfect place. You are going to love having your horses out the back door. :)

  4. Moving is tough! It is hard enough moving from one house to another in the city, but when you have to make sure the new place is set up for animals, I'm sure it is trickier. Not too mention actually moving the animals!

I hope all the packing and movnig goes well. Too bad I wasn't close to you guys - I am a packer/organizer extraordinaire!! :-)

Can't wait to see some pics!

  6. Wanna come pack my house for me? You've got to be a pro about now. And, well, I'm sure my packing skills have gotten rusty in the 10 months we've been at this house. When we moved here, I said I wasn't moving again. Guess I jinxed myself...

  9. I hate moving, and I really hope to never have to do that again, only if I get my dream ranch on lots and lots of acres with a barn, indoor arena, etc....
Good luck with the move and can't wait to see your new place!
